Our hosts, Addison and Brooklyn, interview Mike Hurst, who is an Ogden, Utah based lampworker who specializes in pendants, marbles, Christmas Ornaments and more. He began working with glass in January of 1994. Since that time, he has passionately studied and practiced the art, always striving to perfect his techniques and learn something new. In addition to lampworking, Mike has experience with glass fusing, glass etching and neon sign making. Mike has been featured in Glassline magazine and several local publications. He and his work were featured in the 2020 Lifetime Christmas movie "The Christmas Edition" starring Marie Osmond, Carly Hughes, Rob Mayes and Aloma Wright. He sells his work online, locally at The Local Artisan Collective (2371 Kiesel Ave Ogden, UT), at galleries and arts festivals.
